Being a World Heritage City, Bath not only offers a wealth of beautiful historic Georgian buildings such as the Royal Crescent, the Circus, the Roman Baths, Pump Rooms and the glorious Abbey, there is the Jane Austen Centre, Prior Park Gardens and much more to explore.

At the new Thermae Bath Spa, Britain's original and only natural thermal spa, you can discover the warmth of Bath's natural thermal waters, just as the Celts and Romans did over 2,000 years ago, overlooking the City from the popular open-air rooftop pool. Bath also has several museums (Costume, American, Postal and Building of Bath, to name a few) and one of Britain’s oldest and most beautiful theatres, the Georgian ‘Theatre Royal’, built in 1805, which offers a year-round programme of top quality drama, comedy, opera, dance and music. With year round appeal, Bath itself offers a wide selection of fine shops, art galleries, antiques markets and auction houses. Throughout the year Bath hosts a number of major events and full details of these are available from Bath Tourism.

For the energetic, you can hire boats or bicycles on the Kennet & Avon Canal. With over 100 restaurants, bars and bistros there is no shortage of places to eat and drink after a hard days sightseeing or shopping.
